At Biddabah Public School, we offer a variety of programs in the classroom and across the school to help students build new skills, make friends and explore new interests.

Our extra-curricular highlights
Biddabah's student leadership structure acknowledges that all students have leadership potential. Through the roles of Student Leaders, Librarians & Peer Support Program, students are supported to become confident, articulate and responsible leaders.
High Potential & Gifted Education
The identification and support of High Potential and Gifted (HP&G) students in schools are essential to ensure that every learner can reach their full potential. Supporting HP&G students encourages a culture of excellence and lifelong learning, motivating all students to strive for their best. At Biddabah we provide various opportunities addressing the unique needs of gifted learners,
Students are encourage to enter the many external competitions for science, maths and ICT with many achieving high distinctions.
Public speaking is a part of our classroom learning across all grades. Selected students are then given the opportunity to progress to school, zone & regional competitions.
Our Debating team has also achieved outstanding success in the Zone Debating competition.
Biddabah students enters the Premier' Spelling Competition annually with a number of students progressing to zone level of the competition.
At Biddabah, our Aboriginal & Torres Strait cultural group takes part in regular cultural opportunities to connect to their heritage & country.
Regular lessons with the Miramaa language group, lessons with local elders & the Kill Biin Biin awards. These foster a sense of pride & identity for these students.
Aboriginal & Torres Strait perspectives are an integrals part of all curriculum learning a plays a vital role in promoting cultural awareness, respect, & understanding among all staff & students.
We have a range of Creative Arts groups that display their repertoire at both school & external events.
Choir participates in Choral Fest, Stage 1, 2 & 3 Dance group participates annually in the Hunter Dance Festival along with Star Struck.
Individual students have been successful in the William Dobell Art competition.
At Biddabah's Got Talent events, students are given opportunities to display their talents.
All students have the opportunity to try out for our PSSA teams in a number of sports. These include soccer, rugby league, softball, hockey & netball. Many teams have been successful reaching Zone & Regional levels.
Individual students have been supported by the school & P&C when representing the Zone & Hunter teams in swimming, athletics & other sports.
Biddabh also allows all students to participate in Gala Day events in numerous sports.
